Yamaguchi Goju-Kai Karate-Do

England

Here at Goju-Kai Karate-Do we believe new members join not just a simple sports club, but rather join a large extended family that does more than just practice karate.

Aside from karate training and competitions, clubs regularly organise social activities for all members to take part in. Some of these range from days out with discounted group tickets, to events.

Proceeds from club fund rasing goes towards funding entries for competitions or travel expenses for students. We welcome the participation of everyone involved with Goju-Kai Karate, including friends and families of students, and new ideas for events and fundraisers are always invited.

We actively involve students, friends and family in all aspects of club life. This includes having a committee made up of members, along with hosting meetings and an AGM. Suggestions and questions are always welcome and responded to by instructors, and members are kept updated with club news regularly via social media and other means.

Everything done is for the benefit of the club, and everyone associated with us knows this. To this end, our fantastic karate family are always willing to give their time for us. One of the most prominent examples of this was the recent refurbishment of our Long Lane Dojo, financed through club funds but completed by our wonderful team:

Yamaguchi Goju-Kai Karate-Do are also proud to be an active part of the Jack Petchey Foundation, a charity that helps young people through out the country.

Several of our younger members have received awards from the foundation which have included cash prizes they have used to treat other members of the club.
