Kevan started training in Martial Arts (Judo) at a young age in 1979 and quickly moved on to Karate. Firstly training in a Japanese / Korean based style (Fudoshin Ryu - karate, Judo, Weapons) and then finally moving to Yamaguchi Gojukai Karate -Do. 

Kevan has continually trained for over 40 years and had the opportunity to train and compete at national and international levels across the globe. 

Various competition success include medaling at the IKGA World and Europeans championships, national English (EKGB / EKF) and British international team kata champion, individual national English and British kata champion and being selected for the English National (EKGB) Karate squad. 

Kevan has produced junior and senior IKGA dan grades that have medalled at association European/world and national events. Kevan continues to advance his knowledge by attending IKGA and open seminars, exploring the traditional (Karate - Do) and modern (Sport) elements in order to develop the clubs students.
